Since 2001, Dr. Sherry Phelan has served on USM’s faculty for Consciousness, Health, and Healing, Soul-Centered Leadership, and the second year of the Spiritual Psychology Program.
Dr. Phelan is an artist, upcoming author, and life coach who advocates “conscious creativity” as a choice and practice. She draws and paints circular “Mandala” artwork as a personal creative practice and draws upon principles of the Mandala along with those of spiritual psychology, self-leadership, and creativity for transformational coaching and workshops. She also offers business coaching and workshops for creativity and innovation upon request.
Sherry has assisted entrepreneurs, leaders, and teams across many industries since starting her business in 1988. For 10 years, the core of her business was facilitating strategic roundtables resulting in the launch or expansion of business, products, and services. Executive coaching clients have included Neutrogena, Parsons, Intel, Universal Studios, Disney, Blue Shield, Syncor International, Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, The Ritz-Carlton, Avery Dennison, BP, BAX Global, and others.
Sherry earned her Doctorate and M.S. Degrees in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. She received her M.A. in Spiritual Psychology, with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing from the University of Santa Monica. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and a BA in Interpersonal Communication from UCLA.
Sherry lives in Southern California where she is designing and building a new home with her husband, John. She is currently completing a book on the Art of Inner Leadership that features the Mandala as a tool to enhance one’s ability to create consciously in life.
