USM’s 2008 Commencement ceremonies will take place on Sunday, August 24, starting at 2:00 p.m. We invite you to join us and experience the joy-filled, enthusiastic, and loving educational community for which USM is renowned worldwide. We encourage you to arrive early—although Royce Hall has the ability to seat almost 2,000 people, last year’s event was filled beyond capacity!

A Celebration of Soul-Centered Education

USM’s annual commencement ceremony is a truly joyful event. Held in the beautiful setting of Royce Hall on the UCLA campus, Soul-Centered education seeks to bring forward a greater awareness of the spiritual dimension that resides within each of us. - H. Ronald HulnickUSM’s graduation is a heartfelt acknowledgment and celebration of the levels of commitment, courage, focus, strength-of-heart, and academic excellence that each student has brought forward in order to complete their graduate studies at USM.

USM has a long tradition of welcoming many of the great hearts and minds of our times to give the Commencement address. Past speakers have included John Bradshaw, Joan Borysenko, Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks, Jean Houston, Bernie Siegel, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Iyanla Vanzant (’01), Neale Donald Walsch, and David Whyte.
