A Message for You From Ron and Mary
It is the nature of the Soul to learn and grow. And, as we evolve in consciousness, we recognize that the much sought-after goals of the outer world offer fewer and fewer substitutes for the reality of inner experience. As we grow, we realize more and more that the inner strengthening of our awareness of who we truly are is what our Soul is seeking.
For this reason, it can be extremely helpful to participate in an educational community that is focused on spiritual growth and upliftment. Such a community continually reminds us of the truth of who we are: divine beings having a human experience. To be seen in this way is to be truly seen—and reminded of our Soul’s purpose.
USM’s Beloved Volunteers are Just Such a Community.
Every month some 600 students come to USM to further develop, sustain, and enhance their connection to Spirit through 
the transformational and life-affirming programs here. This “coming together” of like-hearted souls provides an unequaled opportunity for 450 graduate volunteers to support this work through Service.
Some people think that Service benefits those being served. And it does. What is often not clearly understood is that Service most greatly benefits those who are giving of themselves—for it is in Service that the Soul is nourished and grows. The higher we ascend in consciousness, the more our Souls wish to Serve. Souls are in the “Giving Business.”

At USM, we are blessed to participate in an extended USM community consisting of our staff, faculty, board members, graduates, generous donors, and beloved volunteers—all of us surrounded and filled by the Light of Spirit. We are choosing to continue growing by participating in the USM educational experience that can exist for any of us willing to step forward and answer the call.
